1959: The effort to provide Fair Housing choices in Cincinnati began by the Greater Cincinnati Committee for Equal Opportunities in Housing.

1968: The organization was incorporated as Housing Opportunities Made Equal, (HOME).  Its goal was to assist people who, because of their race, nationality, religion or color, were being denied the basis right of having a home.

Today: HOME’s emphasis goes beyond just finding a home, to building a neighborhood environment that welcomes and accepts diverse populations as vital residents in a healthy community.

Tomorrow: As this century unfolds, HOME still faces many of the questions, concerns and challenges that first prompted the Greater Cincinnati Committee for Equal Opportunities in Housing to address fair housing needs.
